I grew up in East Lansing, Michigan. After earning my Masters Degree in Communications from the University of Illinois, I launched a successful 20-year career in advertising, including working for some of the world’s best known ad agencies.
My passion for photography motivated me to leave Madison Avenue and head west to Arizona in 1991. Here, he opened a Photograpy Studio based on the mission of “Creating powerful Photographic Images that are emotionally moving to each audience to whom they are targeted.
Whether I am creating an image of a child, a commercial product, or a corporate executive, I first determine the essence of the subject and what the photograph (of that subject) is expected to convey. Then, I discuss this thoroughly with my customer to arrive at the execution style and approach that will meet the need.

His work has been published in numerous publications including the photo workshop guide by Arizona Highways and Foothills Magazine, among others. His work is shown regularly at Phoenix area galleries, including Vision Gallery in Chandler, AZ, Sundust Gallery in Mesa and Tempe Center for the Arts. His work was featured in a single-artist show at Chandler Center for the Arts.
